Emberfall Saga
★★★★★ 4.6
Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG that respects your time even when it runs long. Battles are turn-based and readable, so you can plan a smart move on the bus and not feel lost when you pick it back up an hour later. The party members each have a distinct feel, and swapping them around actually changes how fights play out.
The writing carries it. There's real charm in the small conversations between quests, and the main story takes a few turns I didn't expect. Progression is steady without begging you to grind, which is rarer than it should be on mobile.
My one gripe is the menu-heavy inventory, which gets cluttered late game. But the combat and characters kept me coming back well past the point I meant to stop.
What we liked
- Readable turn-based combat
- A cast you actually care about
- Fair progression without heavy grinding
